Me and my family are planning a trip to Sicily between 7th and 10th May. I wanted to ask whether it's possible to pay via Visa debit card since I only have a local credit card.

Some suppliers might accept debit card. You can check under "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" At the right hand side of each car photo, Then look under "PAYMENT".

Payment is usually accepted via debit card but when I was in Dublin I had trouble as they took the payment but then they did nor accept the debit card in order for me to pay the security access

Firefly does but they do not have the kind of vehicle I need, Firefly is only offering 3 small cars on that date.

I would choose Firefly, but choose another car. I see a Ford Focus as well. Will the Focus be big enough? Or check the various suppliers as they vary wildly.

The Ford Focus is big enough but I didi not see it with Firefly.

So best to do is to choose a supplier that does accept a debit card, but if not you can take out the extra insurance on arrival at the car rental desk.
